ASTG and DataPath to Cooperate in Sales

ASTG, a developer of military-grade maritime satellite antennas, announced today that the company has signed an agreement with DataPath, Inc., a leading provider of remote communications and information technology solutions to the aerospace, broadcast, government and critical infrastructure markets, to cooperate regarding sales and distribution of ASTG’s stabilized VSAT antennas. Under the agreement, a number of Ku-band, Ka-band, and dual- band solutions from ASTG will be made available to DataPath’s customers.

“DataPath is a reputable provider of mobile and portable VSAT products for land-based users with a comprehensive international sales network focused on similar critical customer requirements as we are,” said Ulf Sundqvist, CEO of ASTG, in a statement. “Our VSAT products for the maritime market and DataPath’s products for users on the ground complement each other well, and we are very enthusiastic about what this cooperation might bring in the future”.

For more than 25 years, DataPath has been a trusted provider of end-to-end specialty telecommunications solutions. ASTG’s maritime antennas are a natural adjacency to DataPath’s broad portfolio of remote networking solutions, communications-on-the-pause antennas, cybersecurity solutions, network monitor and control software, and professional and field support services.

“Considering DataPath’s legacy of providing reliable communications to customers in challenging environments, we see great opportunities for our global customer base to benefit from the addition of ASTG’s high-quality maritime antennas to our product offerings,” said Carsten Drachmann, DataPath’s Senior VP & General Manager of Portable Terminals and International Sales.
